A well-established hotel is looking for an experienced Laundry Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the laundry department. Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the laundry team to ensure smooth operations.
• Schedule staff shifts and assign duties effectively.
• Inspect washed, dried, ironed, and folded linen to ensure quality standards are met.
• Monitor inventory of linen, uniforms, cleaning chemicals, and laundry supplies.
• Ensure laundry equipment is operated safely and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate laundry staff to improve performance.
• Maintain accurate laundry records, including inventory and production reports.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to meet operational requirements.
• Minimise waste and promote efficient use of resources.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laundry operation, with supervisory experience in a hotel preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Good knowledge of commercial laundry equipment and fabric care procedures.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high quality standards.
• Ability to identify and resolve operational issues efficiently.
