A well-established hotel is looking for an experienced and organised Laundry Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the laundry department. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, motivating a team, and ensuring that all guest linens, uniforms, and laundry items are cleaned, processed, and delivered efficiently. Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the laundry team to ensure smooth operations.
• Allocate tasks and monitor staff performance throughout each shift.
• Inspect washed, dried, pressed, and folded items to maintain quality standards.
• Ensure guest linens, towels, uniforms, and other hotel fabrics are processed on time.
• Monitor the safe operation of laundry equipment and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels of detergents, chemicals, and laundry supplies.
• Train new team members on laundry procedures, safety practices, and quality expectations.
• Enforce cleanliness, hygiene, and workplace safety standards within the laundry area.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to meet operational requirements.
• Prepare work schedules, maintain department records, and assist with inventory management.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a supervisory role within a hotel laundry or commercial laundry operation.
• Strong knowledge of laundry processes, fabric care, stain removal, and garment handling.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate a diverse team.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with laundry equipment maintenance and safety procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
