An established hotel is seeking a dedicated and organised Laundry Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the laundry department. Responsibilities

• Supervise the day to day operations of the hotel laundry department.
• Schedule, train, and support laundry team members.
• Ensure all linen, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry are cleaned, pressed, and delivered on time.
• Monitor laundry quality standards and address any issues promptly.
• Inspect finished items to ensure they meet hotel presentation standards.
• Maintain inventory of linen, uniforms, and laundry supplies.
• Coordinate with the housekeeping department to meet operational requirements.
• Ensure laundry equipment is operated safely and report maintenance needs.
• Implement proper handling procedures for delicate fabrics and guest garments.
• Enforce workplace safety, hygiene, and chemical handling procedures.
• Prepare daily reports and monitor departmental productivity.
• Assist with budgeting, stock control, and cost management initiatives.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising a laundry operation within a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of commercial laundry equipment and fabric care techniques.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Familiarity with workplace health and safety standards.
• Basic computer skills for record keeping and reporting.
