Laundry Supervisor

Job Description

A well-established hotel is seeking an experienced and organized Laundry Supervisor to oversee daily laundry operations and ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and linen care. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team and maintaining efficient housekeeping support services.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of the laundry department.
• Assign duties and monitor staff performance.
• Ensure proper washing, drying, ironing, and folding procedures are followed.
• Inspect linens, uniforms, and guest laundry for quality standards.
• Maintain inventory of linens, detergents, and laundry supplies.
• Train and mentor laundry attendants on hotel procedures and safety practices.
• Ensure laundry equipment is properly maintained and report any faults.
• Monitor adherence to health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with the housekeeping department regarding linen requirements.
• Prepare reports on laundry operations and stock usage.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in hospitality or laundry operations is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a hotel laundry environment, including supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Good knowledge of fabric care, stain removal, and laundry equipment operation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer and record-keeping skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
