Laundry Attendant

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to join our hotel team. The successful candidate will help ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and hotel operations are consistently supported with clean, fresh, and properly prepared linen. Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organise hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other washable items.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, pressing equipment, and other laundry machinery safely.
• Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or signs of excessive wear.
• Apply appropriate cleaning products and treatment methods to different fabrics.
• Fold and store clean laundry neatly according to hotel procedures.
• Maintain accurate linen counts and report shortages or damaged items.
• Keep the laundry room clean, organised, and hygienic at all times.
• Follow health, safety, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure timely linen availability.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laundry, housekeeping, hotel, or cleaning environment is an advantage.
• Good understanding of laundry procedures, fabric care, and cleaning products.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and responsibly.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, sort, and move laundry items as required.
• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
