Laundry Attendant

Job Description

Our hotel is looking for a dependable and energetic Laundry Attendant to join our housekeeping team. If you are organised, hands-on, and take pride in keeping linens fresh, clean, and ready for guests, you will fit right in. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, pays attention to detail, and can keep things moving during busy hotel days.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and other laundry items.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, irons, and other laundry equipment safely.
• Inspect laundry for stains, damage, or items requiring special treatment.
• Keep the laundry area clean, organised, and properly stocked.
• Follow hotel standards for cleanliness, hygiene, and handling of laundry products.
• Record laundry quantities and report damaged or missing items when necessary.
• Work closely with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure clean items are available when needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel laundry, housekeeping, cleaning, or similar role is an advantage.
• Good understanding of laundry procedures, fabric care, and safe handling of cleaning products.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Good physical stamina and ability to handle repetitive tasks.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
