Laundry Attendant

Job Description

A well-established hotel is looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Attendant to help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and linen care. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing quality work, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and understands the importance of ensuring guests have fresh, clean linens and garments throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

• Sort, wash, dry, fold, and press hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry.
• Operate and maintain laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect linens and garments for stains, damage, or wear before and after laundering.
• Apply appropriate stain removal techniques when necessary.
• Organize and store clean laundry according to hotel procedures.
• Deliver clean linens and uniforms to designated departments on schedule.
• Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and compliant with safety and hygiene standards.
• Monitor laundry supplies and report shortages or equipment issues promptly.
• Handle guest laundry with care, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Assist with inventory counts and linen distribution as required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a hotel laundry, commercial laundry, or similar environment is an advantage.
• Familiarity with laundry equipment, fabric care, and stain removal methods.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
• Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for extended periods and lift laundry loads safely.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
