A well-established restaurant is seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Steward to help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential to supporting the kitchen team by ensuring all work areas, equipment, and utensils meet the highest cleanliness and food safety standards. Responsibilities

• Wash, sanitize, and store kitchen equipment, utensils, cookware, and dishes.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, storage areas, and waste disposal stations.
• Ensure workstations are stocked with clean equipment throughout service.
• Remove rubbish and recycling promptly while following waste management procedures.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries in designated storage areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations at all times.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff with basic non-cooking tasks as required.
• Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Help maintain an organized and hazard-free kitchen environment.
• Adhere to workplace health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward, Dishwasher, or in a similar kitchen support role is an advantage.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and sanitation standards is desirable.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good physical stamina with the ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads.
• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
