Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly and thoroughly.
• Keep kitchen workstations, floors, storage areas, and waste disposal areas clean and sanitised.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and storing deliveries in designated storage areas.
• Remove rubbish and recycling while ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Refill cleaning supplies and ensure washing stations are fully stocked.
• Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks when required.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures at all times.
• Help maintain an organised kitchen by storing equipment and supplies correctly.
• Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Assist the kitchen team with general duties to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or in a similar cleaning or kitchen support role is an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies when necessary.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
