A busy, welcoming restaurant is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to become an essential part of our kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, working in a fast-paced environment, and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You will be the backbone that helps our chefs deliver great food every day.

Responsibilities

• Keeping all kitchen areas clean, organised, and hygienic throughout service
• Washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans promptly and efficiently
• Assisting with basic food prep when needed, such as peeling or chopping ingredients
• Ensuring waste is properly managed and kitchen bins are regularly emptied
• Supporting chefs with deliveries and storing stock correctly
• Maintaining cleaning schedules and following food safety standards
• Helping the kitchen team with any additional tasks during busy periods

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is helpful but not essential
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job
• Ability to stay organised in a fast-moving environment
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Team spirit and a positive, can-do attitude
• Physical stamina, as the role involves standing and lifting for long periods
• Reliability and punctuality are very important
