Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for a dependable Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team with food preparation, cleanliness, and daily operations. Responsibilities

• Assist with washing, peeling, chopping, and preparing ingredients.
• Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, workstations, and food preparation areas.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and cooking tools promptly.
• Receive, unpack, and organise food deliveries.
• Store ingredients correctly following food safety guidelines.
• Replenish kitchen supplies and notify supervisors of low stock.
• Dispose of waste and recycling appropriately.
• Support chefs during busy service periods as required.
• Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
• Carry out other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Head Chef.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a kitchen, restaurant, café, or food preparation environment is an advantage but not essential.
• Basic understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff.
