IT Support Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Officer to join our hotel team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges, maintaining reliable systems, and ensuring hotel staff and guests experience seamless technology services. You will play a key role in supporting the hotel’s IT infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and keeping business systems running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to hotel employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor and maintain the hotel’s network infrastructure, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi systems.
• Support hotel management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and other operational applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly to minimize downtime.
• Perform regular system updates, backups, and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain user accounts, passwords, and access permissions.
• Assist with setting up IT equipment for meetings, conferences, and hotel events.
• Monitor system security and report potential risks or vulnerabilities.
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and IT asset inventories.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment repairs and specialized support when required.
• Ensure compliance with the hotel’s IT policies and data security standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience providing IT support in a hospitality, corporate, or service-oriented environment is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS), POS systems, or hospitality software is desirable.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and data protection principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and respond effectively under pressure.
