IT Support Officer

Job Description

Are you the kind of person who enjoys solving technical problems and helping others stay connected and productive? We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented IT Support Officer to join our hotel team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s IT systems, supporting staff with technical issues, and ensuring technology runs smoothly across all departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to hotel staff for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, printers, POS systems, and other IT equipment.
• Monitor and maintain the hotel’s network infrastructure and internet connectivity.
• Troubleshoot system errors and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
• Support hotel management systems, email platforms, and business applications.
• Perform routine system updates, backups, and security checks.
• Maintain records of IT assets, licenses, and support requests.
• Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up user accounts and equipment.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an IT support, help desk, or technical support role.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Windows environments, Microsoft Office applications, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Understanding of network devices such as routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Experience supporting POS systems or hospitality software is an advantage.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
