Inventory Controller

An exciting opportunity is available for a detail-oriented and highly organised Inventory Controller to support the efficient management of stock and supplies across our hotel. This position plays a vital role in maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring departments receive the resources they need, and helping to control operational costs. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor inventory levels for food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, maintenance materials, and operational equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and verify deliveries against purchase orders and invoices.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using stock management systems.
• Conduct routine stock counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Coordinate with purchasing and departmental teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
• Organise storage areas to promote efficiency, cleanliness, and proper stock rotation.
• Prepare inventory, usage, and variance reports for management.
• Identify slow-moving, damaged, or obsolete stock and recommend appropriate actions.
• Ensure compliance with hotel inventory procedures and internal control standards.
• Support cost-control initiatives by reducing waste and preventing stock losses.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Inventory Controller, Storekeeper, Stock Controller, or in a similar inventory management role, preferably within a hotel or related environment.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and stock management practices.
• Experience using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Understanding of purchasing, receiving, and warehouse operations is an advantage.
