Inventory Clerk

Job Description

Our cafe is looking for a dependable and organised Inventory Clerk to help keep daily operations running smoothly. The successful candidate will monitor stock levels, maintain accurate inventory records, receive deliveries, and ensure essential ingredients, beverages, packaging, and supplies are available when needed. Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and deliveries.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock movements.
• Conduct regular stock counts and identify discrepancies.
• Monitor expiry dates and organise products appropriately.
• Prepare inventory reports and highlight low-stock items.
• Coordinate with cafe staff to anticipate stock requirements.
• Keep storage areas clean, organised, and properly labelled.
• Assist with ordering and replenishment activities.
• Report damaged, missing, or expired products promptly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Basic computer and spreadsheet proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy cafe environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of food storage and stock rotation practices is an advantage.
