Inventory Clerk

Job Description

A well-organised bar is built on accurate stock records, timely replenishment, and careful attention to detail. We are seeking an Inventory Clerk to monitor stock levels, maintain accurate inventory records, receive deliveries, and help ensure that bar supplies are available when needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using manual or digital systems.
• Monitor stock levels and identify items requiring replenishment.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical quantities with records.
• Track product usage, losses, damages, and discrepancies.
• Organise stock neatly and ensure proper storage procedures are followed.
• Check delivery documents against quantities and product specifications.
• Prepare inventory reports for management review.
• Support stock rotation and monitor product expiry dates where applicable.
• Communicate stock shortages or irregularities to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with purchasing and replenishment activities when required.
• Maintain a clean, secure, and organised inventory area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, warehousing, retail, or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong numerical and record-keeping skills.
• Good knowledge of basic inventory procedures and stock reconciliation.
• Comfortable using spreadsheets, inventory software, or other digital record systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
• Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve routine stock issues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Experience working in a bar, restaurant, or similar environment is an advantage.
• Relevant training or certification in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, or a related field is beneficial.
