HR Officer

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated HR Officer to join our cafe team and support the people operations that keep our workplace organised, engaging, and efficient. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with employees, improving workplace processes, and helping create a positive environment where team members can perform at their best.

Responsibilities

• Manage recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Support onboarding and training processes for new team members.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and workplace improvement activities.
• Handle staff concerns professionally and provide guidance on workplace policies.
• Monitor attendance, leave records, and employee performance documentation.
• Support payroll preparation by providing accurate employee information.
• Ensure HR procedures align with company policies and employment regulations.
• Assist management with workforce planning and staffing needs.
• Promote a positive and respectful workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR role, preferably within a cafe, restaurant, or service-focused environment.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment, employee relations, and HR administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
• Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with different teams.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
