Job Description

A well established hotel is seeking a detail oriented and proactive Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping team and maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation throughout the property. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who enjoys leading teams, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring every guest enjoys a clean and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff.
• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, corridors, and service areas to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.
• Assign daily duties and monitor work performance to achieve operational targets.
• Train, coach, and support housekeeping team members to maintain high service standards.
• Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, reporting replenishment needs promptly.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve housekeeping related concerns professionally.
• Coordinate with the front office and maintenance teams to ensure rooms are ready for occupancy and maintenance issues are addressed quickly.
• Maintain accurate housekeeping records, inspection reports, and staff schedules.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hotel operational procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in housekeeping with supervisory or team leadership responsibilities in a hotel.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning techniques, and quality control standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate, coach, and manage a diverse team effectively.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast paced environment.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to use housekeeping management systems and basic computer applications.
