Housekeeper

Job Description

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our hotel team. The successful candidate will help maintain clean, orderly, and welcoming guest rooms and shared areas while ensuring that every space meets the hotel’s standards. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in cleanliness, works efficiently, and understands the importance of discretion and excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and assigned areas to established standards.
• Change bed linens, towels, and other room supplies as required.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, polish, and sanitise surfaces thoroughly.
• Replenish toiletries and guest amenities while checking room supplies.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or missing property promptly.
• Handle cleaning equipment and products safely and responsibly.
• Follow hotel procedures for lost and found items.
• Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Work closely with supervisors and other hotel departments to support smooth daily operations.
• Complete assigned rooms efficiently while maintaining consistent quality.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience, preferably within a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to remain active throughout the shift.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, courteous, and professional manner.
• Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and hotel standards.
• Previous experience using commercial cleaning equipment is an advantage.
