A welcoming cafe is looking for a friendly and attentive Hostess to create a positive first impression for every guest. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with people, maintaining an organised entrance area, and ensuring guests receive excellent service from the moment they arrive. If you have a warm personality and thrive in a fast-paced cafe environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly and professional attitude.
• Escort guests to available tables and manage the seating arrangement.
• Maintain an accurate waiting list during busy periods.
• Answer customer enquiries in person and over the phone.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure smooth table turnover.
• Keep the entrance and waiting area clean, organised, and inviting.
• Assist with reservations and special seating requests.
• Thank guests as they leave and encourage repeat visits.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Hostess, Receptionist, or in a customer-facing role within a cafe, restaurant, or similar setting is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, confident, and well-presented.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods.
