Our coffee shop is looking for a friendly and attentive Host to create a warm first impression for every guest. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. As a Host, you will welcome guests, manage seating arrangements, coordinate with the service team, and help ensure every visit is enjoyable from arrival to departure.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a warm and professional attitude.
• Greet customers promptly and assist with seating arrangements.
• Manage reservations and waiting lists efficiently.
• Answer customer enquiries in person and over the phone.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting entrance and waiting area.
• Coordinate with servers and management to optimise table availability.
• Assist guests with special requests whenever possible.
• Monitor guest flow to ensure a smooth dining experience.
• Communicate effectively with team members to support daily operations.
• Uphold high standards of customer service at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Host, Receptionist, Customer Service Representative, or in a similar customer-facing role is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional appearance.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to remain calm and courteous during busy periods.
• Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Comfortable using reservation or point-of-sale systems.
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
