A thriving cafe is looking for a confident and service-driven Head Waiter to lead the front-of-house team. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the waitstaff.
• Welcome guests warmly and ensure exceptional service throughout their visit.
• Assign tables and manage seating arrangements during service periods.
• Train, mentor, and motivate team members to maintain high service standards.
• Monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Handle customer enquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely and accurate food and beverage service.
• Ensure tables, dining areas, and service stations remain clean and well organised.
• Monitor stock levels of service supplies and report replenishment needs.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Head Waiter, Senior Waiter, or in a supervisory front-of-house role within a cafe or similar food service environment.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Sound knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
