Head Waiter

Job Description

We are looking for a confident and attentive Head Waiter to lead the front-of-house team in a lively cafe where great service and warm hospitality matter just as much as great food. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with people, keeping service smooth, and setting the tone for a welcoming dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the waitstaff during daily service
• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
• Ensure orders are taken accurately and delivered promptly
• Handle guest complaints or special requests with care and quick thinking
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and table presentation
• Train and support new waiters and support staff
• Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication
• Monitor service flow during busy hours and keep things organized

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a waiter or in a supervisory front-of-house role
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Calm and composed under pressure, especially during busy shifts
• Good understanding of customer service standards in a cafe or restaurant setting
• Ability to multitask and lead by example
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage service
• Friendly personality with a strong sense of responsibility
