Head Waiter

Job Description

We are looking for a confident and attentive Head Waiter to join a friendly café team where great service and warm hospitality come first. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys leading from the floor, keeping service smooth, and making sure every guest feels genuinely welcomed. You will be the key link between the front-of-house team and management, ensuring daily operations run efficiently while maintaining a relaxed and enjoyable dining atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support waitstaff during service to ensure smooth operations
• Welcome guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements when needed
• Oversee table service standards and ensure orders are delivered accurately
• Handle guest complaints or special requests in a calm and professional manner
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food and beverage delivery
• Train and guide new or junior waiters on service expectations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area throughout service
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a team
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities
• Calm and confident under pressure during busy service periods
• Good attention to detail and a strong sense of organization
• Ability to multitask while maintaining high service standards
• A positive, approachable attitude with a team-first mindset
