Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day service.
• Design, develop, and update seasonal and signature menus.
• Prepare and oversee the preparation of high-quality dishes while maintaining presentation standards.
• Manage food purchasing, inventory, and supplier relationships.
• Monitor food costs, minimize waste, and maintain budget targets.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate kitchen staff.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations.
• Maintain consistency in taste, portion sizes, and food presentation.
• Coordinate with restaurant management to plan special events, promotions, and menu offerings.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure the kitchen remains clean, safe, and well-organized.
• Handle customer feedback related to food quality and implement continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Diploma, degree, or professional certification in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or Senior Sous Chef in a reputable restaurant.
• Strong leadership, team management, and mentoring abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of international and local cuisines, cooking techniques, and menu planning.
• Experience with food costing, budgeting, inventory management, and supplier coordination.
• Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining high culinary standards.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
