Head Bartender

Job Description

A lively and well-loved bar is looking for a skilled and confident Head Bartender to lead the bar team, elevate guest experiences, and bring consistency, creativity, and energy behind the counter. This role is perfect for someone who knows their craft, enjoys leadership, and can keep things running smoothly even during busy service hours.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bar operations and ensure smooth service delivery
• Supervise, train, and support bartenders and bar assistants
• Create, update, and maintain drink menus, including signature cocktails
• Ensure proper stock control, ordering, and inventory management
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with bar standards
• Handle customer interactions and resolve complaints professionally
• Monitor quality control for all beverages served
• Manage cash handling and daily sales reporting

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a bartender, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, and beverage preparation techniques
• Excellent communication and team management skills
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good understanding of stock control and bar cost management
• Creative mindset for developing drinks and improving guest experience
• Professional, reliable, and customer-focused attitude
