Head Bartender

Job Description

We are looking for a confident and energetic Head Bartender to oversee daily bar operations, create memorable drinks, and keep the team performing at its best. If you know your cocktails, enjoy working with people, and can keep things running smoothly during a busy night, we would love to have you on board.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the bar team during daily operations and busy service periods.
• Prepare and serve cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and other beverages to a high standard.
• Create and introduce new cocktails and seasonal drink options.
• Train and mentor bartenders on service, recipes, and responsible alcohol handling.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate beverage ordering and inventory checks.
• Maintain excellent cleanliness, organisation, and safety standards behind the bar.
• Handle customer requests and resolve service concerns professionally.
• Ensure bar equipment and supplies are properly maintained and available.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a bartender, senior bartender, or bar supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers, and modern mixology techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and train a bar team.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of stock control, cash handling, and bar operations.
• Ability to remain calm, organised, and efficient during busy shifts.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong attention to detail.
• Bartending or mixology certification is an advantage.
