Guest Service Agent

Job Description

Our hotel is looking for a personable and attentive Guest Service Agent to become part of the front-of-house team. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys meeting people, solving problems, and ensuring every guest receives prompt and thoughtful service from arrival through departure. The successful candidate will represent the hotel professionally while creating a smooth and welcoming experience for guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
• Provide accurate information about hotel services, facilities, policies, and nearby attractions.
• Respond promptly to guest questions, requests, and concerns.
• Handle reservations, room changes, payments, and guest records accurately.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other hotel departments to meet guest needs.
• Resolve service issues professionally and escalate complex matters when necessary.
• Maintain accurate front desk records and follow established hotel procedures.
• Assist guests with transportation, luggage, special requests, and other arrangements.
• Protect guest privacy and handle personal information responsibly.
• Maintain a professional, organised, and presentable front desk environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in hotel management, tourism, or customer service is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a hotel, front desk, guest services, or customer-facing role is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable using computers, reservation systems, and basic office software.
• Good attention to detail and ability to handle transactions accurately.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, and courteous manner.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.
