Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of grilled meats, seafood, vegetables, and other menu items to established standards.
• Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to ensure consistent quality.
• Season, marinate, and portion ingredients according to recipes and restaurant guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic grill station throughout each shift.
• Inspect ingredients for freshness and report any quality concerns.
• Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and service.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health regulations at all times.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and reducing food waste.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.
• Support the team during busy service periods while maintaining high food standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Grill Chef or in a similar kitchen role within a restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, meat temperatures, and food preparation methods.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities during peak service hours.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen.\
