Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of grilled meats, seafood, vegetables, and other menu items to specification.
• Ensure all dishes are presented consistently and meet quality standards.
• Monitor grill temperatures and cooking times to achieve optimal results.
• Prepare ingredients and marinades before service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and surrounding work areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and minimizing food waste.
• Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
• Report equipment issues or maintenance needs promptly.
• Support the Head Chef with menu preparation and daily kitchen operations when required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Grill Chef or in a similar kitchen role within a restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of grilling techniques, food preparation, and cooking temperatures.
• Ability to prepare multiple orders accurately under pressure.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Culinary training or a relevant professional cooking certification is an advantage.
