Garde Manger

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Garde Manger to join our kitchen team and take responsibility for the preparation and presentation of cold dishes, salads, appetisers, charcuterie, and other carefully crafted menu items.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads, appetisers, cold soups, terrines, pâtés, charcuterie, sandwiches, and other cold dishes.
• Arrange and garnish dishes according to established presentation standards.
• Prepare dressings, sauces, marinades, and other accompaniments.
• Maintain proper storage, labelling, and rotation of ingredients.
• Monitor food quality, freshness, portion sizes, and presentation.
• Coordinate with chefs and other kitchen team members to ensure timely service.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen organisation.
• Assist with menu preparation and contribute ideas for seasonal cold dishes.
• Minimise food waste through accurate preparation and efficient ingredient use.
