Bring speed, precision, and a passion for great food to our restaurant as a Fry Cook. We are looking for a dependable kitchen professional who can prepare consistently delicious fried dishes while maintaining high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and kitchen efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with the kitchen team to keep orders moving smoothly during both busy and quiet service periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fried foods according to established recipes and portion standards.
• Operate fryers safely and monitor cooking temperatures closely.
• Prepare ingredients and organise the workstation before service.
• Maintain consistent taste, texture, colour, and presentation.
• Monitor cooking times to ensure food is properly prepared.
• Keep fryers, utensils, work surfaces, and equipment clean and sanitised.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy service periods.
• Check food supplies and report low stock or equipment concerns.
• Coordinate with chefs, servers, and other kitchen staff to ensure timely orders.
• Minimise food waste through careful preparation and portion control.

Qualifications

• Culinary training or a recognised food preparation qualification is preferred.
• Previous experience as a Fry Cook, Line Cook, or Kitchen Assistant is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, frying techniques, and kitchen hygiene.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good understanding of food safety and safe equipment operation.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and work safely around kitchen equipment.
