Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations and food preparation
• Design and update menus with fresh, appealing ideas
• Maintain high standards for food quality and presentation
• Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff
• Manage food costs, inventory, and supplier relationships
• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards are followed
• Coordinate smoothly with front-of-house management during service
• Monitor portion control and reduce kitchen waste

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a restaurant
• Strong leadership and kitchen management skills
• Excellent knowledge of local and international cuisine
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Good understanding of food costing and inventory control
• Creative approach to menu planning and presentation
• Strong communication and team-building abilities
• Professional culinary training or certification is an added advantage
