Job Description

Our restaurant is looking for a skilled and dependable Entremetier to join our professional kitchen team. The successful candidate will specialize in preparing vegetables, soups, legumes, eggs, and other accompanying dishes while maintaining excellent standards of taste, presentation, hygiene, and consistency. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate culinary professional who enjoys working in a structured kitchen environment and takes pride in producing well-executed dishes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook vegetables, soups, legumes, eggs, and appropriate side dishes according to established recipes.
• Assist with mise en place and ensure ingredients are properly prepared before service.
• Maintain consistent quality, portion sizes, presentation, and flavour.
• Monitor cooking times and temperatures to achieve excellent results.
• Keep the workstation, utensils, and equipment clean and organized.
• Store ingredients correctly and minimize food waste.
• Work closely with chefs and other kitchen team members during preparation and service.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures at all times.
• Assist with stock rotation and report shortages or quality concerns promptly.

Qualifications

• Culinary diploma, certificate, or equivalent professional culinary training.
• Previous experience as an Entremetier, Commis Chef, or in a similar kitchen position.
• Good knowledge of vegetable preparation, soups, sauces, eggs, and side dishes.
• Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent food quality.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with the kitchen team.
