Duty Manager
Job Description
Our hotel is looking for a calm, confident, and proactive Duty Manager to keep daily operations running smoothly and ensure every guest enjoys a seamless stay. This role sits at the heart of the hotel, balancing guest satisfaction, staff coordination, and quick decision-making when things get busy.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day hotel operations across front office, housekeeping, and guest services
- Handle guest complaints or special requests with professionalism and urgency
- Support staff supervision and ensure smooth shift handovers
- Monitor room status, bookings, and overall occupancy flow
- Ensure health, safety, and hotel standards are consistently maintained
- Step in during emergencies or operational disruptions and resolve issues quickly
- Liaise with department heads to maintain service quality
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, ideally in a supervisory or front desk role
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions
- Good understanding of hotel operations and guest service standards
- Basic computer skills for booking and reporting systems
- Leadership mindset with a team-focused approach
