Job Description

Our hotel is looking for a calm, confident, and proactive Duty Manager to keep daily operations running smoothly and ensure every guest enjoys a seamless stay. This role sits at the heart of the hotel, balancing guest satisfaction, staff coordination, and quick decision-making when things get busy.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day hotel operations across front office, housekeeping, and guest services
  • Handle guest complaints or special requests with professionalism and urgency
  • Support staff supervision and ensure smooth shift handovers
  • Monitor room status, bookings, and overall occupancy flow
  • Ensure health, safety, and hotel standards are consistently maintained
  • Step in during emergencies or operational disruptions and resolve issues quickly
  • Liaise with department heads to maintain service quality

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality, ideally in a supervisory or front desk role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and make quick decisions
  • Good understanding of hotel operations and guest service standards
  • Basic computer skills for booking and reporting systems
  • Leadership mindset with a team-focused approach
