Duty Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a dependable and proactive Duty Manager to help oversee daily hotel operations and ensure guests receive a seamless, high-quality experience at all times. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, attentive to detail, and confident in leading teams across different departments.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily hotel operations during assigned shifts
- Act as the main point of contact for guests, handling requests, concerns, and complaints professionally
- Coordinate with front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor staff performance and support team members to maintain service standards
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines
- Handle emergencies or unexpected situations promptly and effectively
- Prepare and review shift reports, documenting incidents and operational updates
- Assist in training and mentoring staff to improve service delivery
- Support management in achieving occupancy, revenue, and guest satisfaction targets
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to remain composed and make decisions in fast-paced environments
- Good problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
- Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel management systems is an advantage
- A professional attitude with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability
