DJ Coordinator

Job Description

Our bar is looking for an energetic and organised DJ Coordinator to oversee music programming and help create memorable nights for guests. The successful candidate will coordinate DJs, manage performance schedules, support event planning, and ensure the music experience aligns with the bar’s atmosphere and audience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate DJ bookings, schedules, set times, and performance requirements.
• Work closely with DJs to plan music selections and event themes.
• Manage communication between DJs, management, and technical staff.
• Monitor music quality, volume levels, and overall guest experience.
• Assist with planning themed nights, special events, and promotional activities.
• Ensure DJs arrive on time and have the necessary equipment and information.
• Coordinate sound checks and troubleshoot basic performance-related issues.
• Maintain a reliable roster of DJs and external music professionals.
• Stay informed about emerging music trends and audience preferences.
• Support management in developing engaging music programmes that encourage repeat visits.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Music, Entertainment Management, Event Management, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience coordinating DJs, live entertainment, events, or music programmes.
• Strong knowledge of different music genres and current music trends.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage schedules and multiple performers efficiently.
• Basic understanding of DJ equipment and sound systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Creative, dependable, and confident when working in a fast-paced bar environment.
