Job Description

Our restaurant is looking for a dependable and hardworking Dishwasher to support the kitchen team and maintain high standards of cleanliness. The successful candidate will help keep dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen areas clean and organised, contributing to a smooth and efficient restaurant operation.

Responsibilities

• Wash, rinse, sanitise, and properly store dishes, glasses, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
• Keep dishwashing areas, sinks, floors, and surrounding workspaces clean and orderly.
• Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment safely and correctly.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and preparation duties when required.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and follow recycling procedures where applicable.
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Follow restaurant hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a dishwasher, kitchen assistant, cleaner, or in a similar restaurant role is an advantage.
• Good understanding of cleanliness and food safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling kitchen equipment safely.
• Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
