A well established hotel is seeking an accomplished Director of Hotel Operations to provide strategic leadership across all operational departments. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to drive service excellence, strengthen operational performance, lead high performing teams, and ensure every aspect of the hotel operates efficiently while delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all hotel operational departments to ensure seamless daily operations.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Monitor departmental performance and establish measurable operational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage operational budgets, control costs, and maximise profitability.
• Mentor, coach, and develop department managers and supervisors.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on business planning and performance initiatives.
• Analyse operational reports and implement improvements where needed.
• Resolve complex guest concerns with professionalism and sound judgement.
• Drive quality assurance programmes to maintain consistently high service standards.
• Oversee staffing plans, workforce productivity, and resource allocation.
• Foster a positive workplace culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience managing hotel operations at a senior level.
• Strong understanding of front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple departments simultaneously.
• Excellent financial management, budgeting, and cost control skills.
• Strong strategic planning and operational decision making abilities.
• Outstanding leadership, coaching, and team development capabilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyse operational data and implement performance improvements.
• Strong organisational and problem solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency with hotel management systems and standard business software.
