Delivery Coordinator

Job Description

Our cafe is looking for a highly organised and dependable Delivery Coordinator to oversee the smooth movement of customer orders from the cafe to their destinations. The successful candidate will coordinate delivery schedules, communicate with delivery personnel, monitor orders, and help ensure customers receive their meals and beverages accurately and on time. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced cafe environment and enjoys keeping daily operations well organised.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate incoming delivery orders and assign them to available delivery personnel.
• Monitor orders from preparation through dispatch and delivery.
• Ensure customer orders are complete, accurately packed, and properly labelled.
• Communicate with drivers regarding routes, schedules, delays, and special instructions.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and update order statuses.
• Respond promptly to delivery-related customer enquiries and concerns.
• Work closely with cafe staff to minimise preparation and dispatch delays.
• Track delivery performance and report recurring issues to management.
• Help resolve incorrect, delayed, or incomplete deliveries professionally.
• Ensure delivery procedures are followed consistently.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in delivery coordination, logistics, customer service, or cafe operations is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of order management and delivery processes.
• Comfortable using smartphones, delivery platforms, spreadsheets, and basic computer applications.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
