Commis Chef

Job Description

A busy and welcoming restaurant is looking for a Commis Chef to join the kitchen brigade. This role is perfect for someone passionate about food, eager to learn, and ready to grow under experienced senior chefs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in basic food preparation such as chopping, washing, and portioning ingredients
• Support chefs in cooking, plating, and presentation of dishes
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and storage standards at all times
• Help receive and store kitchen supplies properly
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy hours

Qualifications

• Basic experience working in a kitchen or food preparation environment
• Strong willingness to learn and improve culinary skills
• Ability to follow instructions quickly and accurately
• Good teamwork and communication skills
