Cocktail Server

Job Description

Step into a fast-paced bar environment where attentive service, product knowledge, and a welcoming attitude make every guest’s visit memorable. We are seeking a polished and energetic Cocktail Server to take orders, serve beverages efficiently, and maintain excellent guest service throughout each shift. The ideal candidate is confident, observant, and comfortable working closely with bartenders and the wider bar team.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide prompt, attentive table service.
• Present drink menus, explain beverage options, and answer guest questions.
• Accurately take cocktail and food orders and communicate them to the bar and kitchen teams.
• Serve cocktails, beverages, and accompanying items safely and efficiently.
• Monitor tables regularly and respond quickly to guest requests.
• Check that drinks are presented correctly and meet established service standards.
• Process payments accurately and handle cash or card transactions responsibly.
• Maintain clean, organised, and well-presented service areas.
• Coordinate with bartenders and other team members to ensure efficient service.
• Follow responsible alcohol service procedures and applicable bar policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cocktail server, beverage server, waiter, or in a similar bar service role is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of cocktails, beverages, and standard bar service practices.
• Ability to remain composed and professional during busy periods.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate order-taking abilities.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Basic numeracy and cash-handling skills.
• Training or certification in food and beverage service is an advantage.
