Job Description

There’s something special about turning cocoa into moments people remember. We’re looking for a skilled and creative Chocolatier to join a cozy, quality-driven café where desserts are just as important as coffee. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys crafting handmade chocolates, experimenting with flavours, and presenting treats that feel both beautiful and comforting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of handmade chocolates, truffles, pralines, and chocolate desserts
  • Design seasonal and signature chocolate items for the café menu
  • Ensure consistent quality, taste, and presentation standards
  • Manage chocolate tempering, moulding, and decoration processes
  • Maintain proper hygiene and food safety practices in production
  • Monitor ingredient stock and assist with ordering supplies
  • Collaborate with the pastry and café team on dessert pairings
  • Experiment with new recipes and flavour combinations

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a chocolatier, pastry chef, or in a similar dessert-focused role
  • Strong knowledge of chocolate work techniques including tempering and moulding
  • Creativity in dessert design and flavour development
  • Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
  • Ability to work carefully, patiently, and with attention to detail
  • Team spirit and willingness to collaborate in a café environment
  • Basic knowledge of inventory handling and ingredient management
