Job Description
Do you have a passion for crafting exquisite chocolate creations and delighting customers with beautifully made treats? We are seeking a talented and creative Chocolatier to join our café team and help deliver exceptional desserts and confectionery products.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare handcrafted chocolates, truffles, pralines, and other chocolate-based products.
- Develop new recipes and seasonal chocolate offerings.
- Temper, mould, and decorate chocolates to a high standard.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and place requests for supplies when necessary.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are followed.
- Collaborate with the pastry and kitchen teams on menu development.
- Package and present products attractively for retail display.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate, diploma, or professional training in Culinary Arts, Pastry, or Confectionery is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a Chocolatier, Pastry Chef, or Confectionery Specialist.
- Strong knowledge of chocolate tempering, moulding, and decorative techniques.
- Creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
