Job Description

Do you have a passion for crafting exquisite chocolate creations and delighting customers with beautifully made treats? We are seeking a talented and creative Chocolatier to join our café team and help deliver exceptional desserts and confectionery products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare handcrafted chocolates, truffles, pralines, and other chocolate-based products.
  • Develop new recipes and seasonal chocolate offerings.
  • Temper, mould, and decorate chocolates to a high standard.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and place requests for supplies when necessary.
  • Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards are followed.
  • Collaborate with the pastry and kitchen teams on menu development.
  • Package and present products attractively for retail display.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certificate, diploma, or professional training in Culinary Arts, Pastry, or Confectionery is an advantage.
  • Previous experience as a Chocolatier, Pastry Chef, or Confectionery Specialist.
  • Strong knowledge of chocolate tempering, moulding, and decorative techniques.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
