Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Chef de Cuisine to oversee all aspects of our restaurant kitchen, inspire the culinary team, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, creativity, and consistency. Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient daily service.
• Develop and update menus that reflect creativity, quality, and guest preferences.
• Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff to achieve outstanding performance.
• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
• Oversee food preparation and ensure compliance with recipes and standards.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage food ordering to minimise waste.
• Enforce food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with management on seasonal promotions and special menu offerings.
• Control kitchen costs while maintaining high quality standards.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report repair needs promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Executive Sous Chef, or in a similar senior culinary leadership role within a restaurant.
• Strong expertise in menu planning, food preparation techniques, and kitchen management.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and team building skills.
• In depth knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
• Ability to manage food costs, inventory, and kitchen budgets effectively.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining exceptional quality.
• Culinary certification or professional chef training is an advantage.
