Job Description

A well-managed hotel is built on strong standards of safety, security, and attentive service. We are seeking a vigilant and dependable CCTV Operator to monitor surveillance systems, identify potential security concerns, and support the smooth and secure operation of the hotel. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent concentration, sound judgement, discretion, and the ability to respond appropriately to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV cameras and surveillance systems across the hotel premises.
• Maintain continuous awareness of activities in guest, staff, entrance, parking, and restricted areas.
• Identify unusual behaviour, safety concerns, security breaches, or suspicious activity.
• Report incidents promptly to the appropriate security personnel or management.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and relevant CCTV activities.
• Review recorded footage when authorised for security investigations.
• Operate CCTV equipment and ensure cameras and monitoring systems are functioning correctly.
• Communicate clearly with security officers and other relevant hotel departments.
• Follow established security procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding surveillance footage and security information.
• Assist with investigations by providing accurate observations and authorised footage.
• Report equipment faults and technical issues promptly for maintenance or repair.
• Remain alert and focused during extended monitoring periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a CCTV Operator, Security Control Room Operator, or in a similar security role is preferred.
• Experience working within a hotel, commercial property, or other controlled environment is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of CCTV monitoring and surveillance procedures.
• Strong observation and concentration skills.
• Ability to identify and report unusual or potentially unsafe situations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions during incidents.
• Basic computer skills and confidence using digital monitoring systems.
• Strong sense of confidentiality, integrity, and professional responsibility.
