Job Description

We are looking for a dependable and customer-focused Cashier to join our bar. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a lively setting, delivers excellent service, and maintains accuracy while handling financial transactions. As a Cashier, you will play an important role in creating a smooth guest experience by processing payments efficiently, assisting customers with professionalism, and supporting daily front-of-house operations.

Responsibilities

• Process cash, card, and digital payments accurately.
• Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
• Balance the cash register at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Welcome guests and respond to payment-related inquiries courteously.
• Coordinate with bartenders and service staff to ensure orders are processed correctly.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier station.
• Verify bills and identify discrepancies when necessary.
• Follow established cash handling and security procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
• Provide prompt, friendly service while maintaining professionalism during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cashier or in a customer-facing role within a bar, restaurant, or similar environment is an advantage.
• Strong numerical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to operate point-of-sale (POS) systems and payment terminals.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Honest, reliable, and able to handle confidential financial information.
• Ability to remain composed and efficient in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
