Cafe Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cafe Accountant to oversee financial records, monitor daily transactions, and provide valuable financial support that helps drive business performance. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow, revenue, and operating expenses.
• Reconcile bank statements, supplier invoices, and payment records.
• Process payroll and maintain employee payment records.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Prepare tax documentation and support regulatory compliance.
• Monitor inventory costs and analyse food and beverage expenses.
• Work closely with management to improve financial performance and cost control.
• Ensure accounting systems and financial records remain accurate and up to date.

Qualifications

• Degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification is an advantage.
• Previous accounting experience in a cafe, restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to manage confidential financial information with integrity.
• Good organisational, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
