Cafe Accountant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Cafe Accountant to oversee financial records, support budgeting, monitor daily transactions, and provide accurate financial reporting. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly documented.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow, sales reconciliation, and bank transactions.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and internal policies.
• Monitor inventory costs and assist with cost control initiatives.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing required documentation.
• Work closely with management to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional accounting certification or progress toward certification is an advantage.
• Previous accounting experience in a cafe, restaurant, retail, or similar fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling financial information.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
• Knowledge of taxation, payroll processing, and financial compliance requirements is an advantage.
