Cafe Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Cafe Accountant to support the financial operations of our cafe. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, monitoring expenses, preparing financial reports, and helping ensure smooth financial management. This role is suited for someone who combines strong accounting skills with an understanding of the fast-paced cafe environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, invoices, receipts, and transaction reports.
• Monitor daily sales, expenses, and cash flow activities.
• Prepare regular financial statements and accounting reports.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Track inventory costs and assist with budget management.
• Process payments, supplier records, and expense documentation.
• Identify financial discrepancies and recommend solutions.
• Support payroll preparation and financial planning activities.
• Maintain organised accounting files and documentation.
• Collaborate with management to improve financial efficiency.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent numerical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to manage records accurately and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet applications.
• Good understanding of cost control and expense tracking.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while supporting cafe operations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
